Chesapeake, VA On December 13, 2008 at 2.00pm on the steps of Chesapeake City Hall, various spiritual leaders of the community, Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Sikh, Hindu and others, as well as officials from the city of Chesapeake, joined with the Indian American Community of Hampton Roads and the Indian American Forum for Political Education (Hampton Roads Chapter) to commemorate those innocents who lost their lives in the Mumbai massacre in late November.
There was a moment of silence, prayers and short speeches for not only the victims, but how best to address the dangerous political situaiton in the world. The message that love, not hatred, must guide our thinking, was repeated several times.
Also, many thanks to Jagdish Singh for organizing this in only three days.
