A new course for spring 2010 entitled Buddhism in Daily Life: Relationships

The Buddhist Education Center, in collaboration with the Pluralism Project at Harvard University, is pleased to announce a new course for spring 2010 entitled Buddhism in Daily Life: Relationships.

The teachings of the Buddha contain a wealth of wisdom for creating true happiness and peace in ourselves and in the world.  This three-month course offers participants an opportunity to study and discuss core teachings of Buddhism, with an emphasis on learning how they apply to family and social relationships.  Midway through the course there will be a one-day retreat for all participants.

SUMMER 24 HOURS RETREAT

 

Dear Friends,

 

As the syllabus indicates, there will be a 24-hr retreat at mid-semester.  The retreat, which is hosted by the Buddhist Education Center in Pungo, will begin on Saturday morning, July 18th, and conclude the following morning.  This is free to all who are attending the course.  There is a suggested donation of $10 for additional guests and others not attending the course.  Directions to the Center are available online at http://www.buddhistedu.org/en/.  You can also register on the website.
