Dear Buddhist followers,

Buddha’s Birthday is a day that Buddha manifests in this world. It is also a day the world joyfully greets the appearance of the Awakened One. Not only do humans welcome the manifestation of Buddha, the heaven worlds scatter flowers on the loving Spiritual Father of All Beings. The event of being born Siddhartha Prince and later becoming Sakya Muni Buddha is praised by the world in happy and joyful spirits. Sakya Buddha is the one who opens new ways to see life, new paths to practice and new life styles to live harmoniously with others, which are the teachings of Middle Paths and Non-Self.

Wakefield, VA 4 H Club Talk

On Saturday, April 9, 2016, the Venerable Thich Chuc Thanh and visiting monk Thich Thong Dat visited the Wakefield, VA 4 H Club at the invitation of their program director to speak with the Youth Leaders group as part of their cultural training.  The audience was comprised of High School student 4 H members who will be serving as group leaders for the 2016 summer 4 H camps.

The Venerable Thich Chuc Thanh and Mark Palamara visited Southern Shores, NC, on the Outer Banks on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 to hold the third Dharma discussion group meeting for the residents of the NC Outer Banks.  A group of 25 people attended the session.
