What is everyone’s goal in life?

NCPittsCtr3NC Talk June 28, 2016

Ven. Chuc Thanh, Mark and Curtis traveled to Southern Shores, NC for the NC Dharma talk on June 28, 2016.

Thay Thanh opened the session with a guided meditation.  He followed with the story about the burglar who broke into a temple to steal money from the donation box.  The burglar was confronted by the Master Monk, who offered him the key to the donation box and to feed him before he left.  A little while later, the Master learned the burglar had been caught and imprisoned.  Five years later, the same burglar broke into the temple again after his release from prison.  When confronted by the same Master, the burglar advised that after his previous experience, he had returned to steal the Master’s compassion and teaching.
