By invitation of Sara Gain, the Adult Progam Director at the Virginia Beach Public Library, our Venerables Thay Thanh and Bhante Vivek presented an evening program there on Meditation. Those that attended were small in number, but large in enthusiasm.
The Venerables presented several forms of meditation, starting with basic postural instructions and practice, and then moving on through several meditation techniques. Thay Chuc Thanh led the group through Breathing, and Walking Meditations, which were followed by the Metta Meditation as sung by Bahte Vivek. A period of questions, answers, and discussion ended the one-hour program.
It seemed to be a success, and the director asked if the Venerables could return with this program again. And of course, they said, "Yes!"!
