On Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 6 to 7 PM, Dr. Nicole Willock brought her Buddhism class from Old Dominion University to visit the temple.  The venerable Thich Chuc Thanh and Bhante Vivek met with them in the Buddha Hall.

Bhante Vivek began the session with a guided Metta Meditation. Chuc Thanh followed the guided meditation with a general discussion about the life of Shakyamuni Buddha and some basic tenets of Buddhism.  Prior to beginning the question and answer portion of the evening, Chuc Thanh advised the students that if they live their lives without anger, ill will and jealousy, things will be okay.  He also suggested that life is a pass or fail test.  If you fail at something, start again.

The students asked a wide range of questions which Chuc addressed.  The evening concluded with sharing merit and a group photo.
