Notes from Class 11, Final Class, Dec 3, 2013

The Ven. Thay Chuc Dai instructed the class.  This is the final class in the series.

This class combined the topics Employer-Employees and Monastics-Followers ministering.  After reviewing the ways of ministering outlined in the sutra, discussion turned to a summary of the key elements of the class, including:

The common thread of what we studied is that the outcome of doing good actions is being at peace and free from fear.
The focus of the sutra was:  the Four Defilements, Four Causes of Evil and the Six Directions.
Compassion is a common thread throughout our practice.
Control your mind.  If you control your mind, you control your body, you control your speaking, and you control your world.
Focus on now, not the past, not the future.
If you practice compassion, your result will always be good.
