         •    Cuckoo,

    Take me up to where

                  Clouds drift. - Uko


       •    The thief

         Left it behind --

 

                                              The moon at the window. - Ryokan 


 

 

 

                                                      •    A cloud,

Trying to enwrap the moonbeams,

A monsoon shower. -  Basho


•    The moon in the water;

Broken and broken again,

Still it is there. - Choshu


•    Listen,

All creeping things --

The bell of transience. - Issa


•    I leave,

You stay --

Two autumns. - Buson


•    Full autumn moon --

On the straw mat,

Pine shadow. - Kikaku


•    I have nothing at all --

But this tranquility!

This coolness! - Issa


•    Birth of art --

Song of rice planters,

Chorus from nowhere. - Basho
